Get ready to tie, twist, build, and create! This hands-on Forest School workshop invites young explorers to dive into the wild world of ropes, knots, and natural construction.
Located at Banksia Park in Bulleen, children will learn essential outdoor skills—how to work with ropes, master useful knots, and use natural materials to construct everything from mini shelters and bridges to obstacle courses. It’s all about teamwork, problem-solving, and creative building in the great outdoors.
Some of the challenges that the day will include are;
Learn essential survival knots and lashings
Construct woodland dens, rope swings, and natural structures
Discover the power of teamwork and creative thinking
Explore engineering with sticks, ropes, and natural tools
Connect with nature through play-based building challenges
Our team of highly experienced forest school educators will support your child’s learning so that they become more confident, curious, and capable and are taught to learn how to take safe risks in the bush through climbing, building and using real tools. They will also discover and learn about our natural environment and it’s fascinating wildlife.
Forest school Melbourne is an all-weather outdoor program so you need to make sure you bring appropriate weather protection and clothing. Our program will only be cancelled in the event of an extreme weather warning; fire, storm, high temperatures and severe wind.
