Step inside the hidden world of Fernhill Estate — where tall hedges, hidden pathways and old sandstone walls hold stories waiting to be uncovered.
The Secret Garden is a two-hour outdoor holiday program inviting children to explore Mulgoa’s historic estate through nature play, storytelling and creative artmaking. Grounded in the surrounding landscape, it offers an experience that feels just a little magical.
Alongside our experienced educators, children will explore the estate’s quiet corners — wandering through gardens and open lawns, noticing wildlife and the small natural details many people miss. Through outdoor play and creative activities inspired by Fernhill’s past, children connect with nature in an active and imaginative way. It’s a morning of movement, discovery, and hands-on creativity.

This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.
Please note: Our programs are primarily child-led nature play experiences. Whilst we have planned themes, children co-create the program each day and may not engage in scheduled activities.

Please note; there is a 1km uphill guided walk from the Hayshed to the gardens at Fernhill House, which is incorporated into the program.
