Why are some insects brightly coloured while others blend in? How do bees see the world? What makes invertebrates incredible? How do some insects walk on water?
Children will dive into these fascinating questions and explore the wonderful world of insects in this 2-hour outdoor adventure. They’ll learn what makes a bug a bug, how to tell the difference between a centipede, a millipede, and a worm, and whether a spider is really an insect.
Our experienced educators will guide children on a nature walk to discover the insects living in the park, play some buggy games and craft insect-inspired art! Your child will leave this program with a deeper understanding of the important role insects play in our ecosystem.
This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.
Please note: Our programs are primarily child-led nature play experiences. Whilst we have planned themes, children co-create the program each day and may not engage in scheduled activities.
