We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, learn and play. We thank them for sharing their culture and knowledge through stories, language, art and song. We recognise the important role they have played for thousands of years and continue to play in caring for the land and waterways. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and future.

This thought-provoking ABC Education clip explores the importance of “risky play” and how giving children opportunities to test boundaries, face challenges, and experience manageable risk can support confidence, resilience, problem-solving and mental wellbeing. Featuring insights from educators and play advocates, the video highlights how adventurous outdoor play helps children build important life skills through curiosity, creativity and exploration. It also challenges us to rethink how we design spaces and experiences that support healthy child development through play.
