Presented by wawa biik, the Mountains to Rivers Festival will bring communities together on Taungurung Country to strengthen understanding, relationships and shared care for Taungurung Culture and Country. The theme of the inaugural festival is Biik Nganyin Datbu – Caring for our Country.
The cultural festival will be held on Saturday 7 November at Tahbilk Winery, known to Taungurung people as tabilk-tabilk – the place of many waterholes. Live First Nations music, a Taungurung makers market, cultural workshops, kids activities, guided boat cruises, wetlands walks and food stalls are just some of the highlights across a fun-filled day for the whole family.
The Mountains to Rivers Festival is supported by the Victorian Government.
