Celebrate the opening of Birrarung Riverfest 2026 with the Yarra Riverkeeper Association beside the beautiful upper reaches of the Birrarung in Warburton. Join the community for an afternoon of connection, culture, storytelling and riverside celebration. Activities include a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and Cultural Talk with Uncle Dave Wandin, a Riverfest program preview, safe swimming activities with the Birrarung Bathers, and creative nature-based activities with Annie Bolitho. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic rug or chairs and enjoy the river environment together.
